Happy feet happy soul

Shopping spirit kicks in after a hard working day at work. Instead of the regular route to my home sweet home, I detour to the nearby Brentwood Mall.  I was planning to get a pair of FITFLOP as my cousin Mei told me that she really love  the flipflop.  For beach lover, Havannas is your better choice because it is made especially to sand your beautiful feet. 

I actually ended up buying none of the flipflop but 2 cheap pair of shoes.  It cost about $8.00 per pair, inclusive HST. 

Splittz Burger

The four of us decided to have burger meal this sunday to end the lovely sunshine week of Sep 11.  Thus , we went to Splitz Grill at Main street.  The store closes at 9pm and we reached there half an hour before the closing time.  The store is unique and the aroma of the grilled juicy beef is breath taking. I especially love the friendly lady cashier who has so much energy and smile on her that made the visit really a blast!  We ordered a splitz burger combo, a splitz burger and (lean mean burger- sorry I forgot the name). The whole meal consisted 3 burgers, 1 refillable coke (pop of your choice) and super yummy poutine! Super good french fries. Unfortunately, my GF 2 was runing out of battery. Anyway... please google Splitz Grill if you would like to taste a great burger in Vancouver. It worths the trip!

Photo taking using the borrowed Panasonic GF2

Starting September 11, 2011, I will be taking all my photos with the GF2. My cousin is kind enough to lend her precious DSLR to me so that i could experience photo shooting with a different kind of camera. Don't get me wrong, Canon, my very first DLSR does a great job and still do. However,I still love to take photo with different kind of camera and see how my camera profile will look like. If you are reading my blog on an occassional basis, i do welcome comments. Maybe it will serve as a good tips for your next dslr purchase.

Note: I am not a professional in taking photography. I just like the quality of the dslr camera and i take each picture a few times to finally derive a photo that i really love. i.e. don't ask me for photo tips as i am not using any skills for anything.

Nexus finally!

One can has so many to do lists within a year, 365 day. This year (2011), I have completed another to do lists for the year. I finally submitted my nexus application (electronic version) in August 2011. Due to my super clean record, i managed to receive an interview on Sep 3, 2011. What is a nexus? Quoted from the nexus membership guide, "Nexus is designed to simplify border clearances for pre-approved, low risk travellers." Canadian dollar has a stronger exchange rate and many of us are heading south for various purchase such as grocery, gas, clothing,etc. With the nexus card, border crossing is no longer a 3 hour wait as nexus has a speedy lane for all nexus card holders.

Note: All passengers are required to have a nexus card in your car for all border crossing. Please ensure you read all the instructions carefully to avoid your nexus card being confiscated by the border officers

Darling, can you order a cup of frap please? I am a coffee drinker. Love Chai latte too! The spice just spike me up when i think my job stress level is unbearable during month-end period. We visited a berry farm two weeks ago and i decided to have a frap/cappucino to spend my lovely sunday afternoon at the farm. My friend was freaking out for a while when she saw the menu board. "Mimi, do you mind to get a regular coffee only?", said A. I am like, what, a regular coffee on a farmland. Nope. Now, looking at the attached picture, you probably can guess why she detour my coffee order. We ended up with a berry milkshake to shake off the laughter.
