Grocery shopping is fun in Vancouver. Because we have different kind of Asian in town (Cantonese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Vietnames, Korean, Filipino, Japanese), a grocery shopper can locate other Asian ingredients in a superstore.
The closest resemble of Brunei/Malaysian hometown grocery carrier is located at Landsome Mall. The name of the stall is called "Best price". I love to visit the stall every second Saturday when I am having my facial appointment in Richmond.
Guess what I found in the stall yesterdaywhen I was doing monthly grocery shopping? Bishun Kampung made in Alor Star, Malaysia. I don't think I saw that brand in KB/Brunei. I am pretty sure I will see Rojak , Assam and Laksa items on shelves pretty soon.
